The Convent

This venue offers a little slice of history but with a comtemporary touch for your magical Lake Garda wedding. The Convent was founded in 1455 and has been owned by the same family since the 1800s. The extensive and immaculate gardens with the rustic cloisters offer the ideal backdrop for your open-air wedding in Lake Garda.

Once you enter through the gates at The Convent a feeling of tranquility and serenity washes over you. This romantic location is suitable for large or small, initimate weddings and you are able to utilise both indoor and outdoor spaces for different stages of the wedding day. Inside the Convent the rooms are divided by large arches which divide the rooms however you do still get a real flow of openness. The rooms inside together can seat upto 170 people however if you wish to have a smaller wedding inside then you can utilise the arches to seperate off the rooms and have the the first ‘room’ for drinks on arrival, the second ‘room’ for dinner and the final ‘room’ for evening entertainment.

The Convent has recently announced that it is now possible to hold civil ceremonies here which is fantastic news for those couples looking to keep the whole day in one special place.

What you need to know:

• It is possible to celebrate a civil wedding ceremony at The Convent
• External caterers are required for the wedding reception
• There is no accommodation at The Convent, however, there are many options close by for various budgets
• The chapel cannot celebrate legal religious weddings, only blessings can be conducted here, however for those wanting a religious ceremonies a church close by is used
