The Private Island

This island, located on Lake Garda, owes its beauty in part to the spectacular Venetian neo-Gothic style villa, home to nobility, which was designed at the beginning of the 20th century. The villa is an impressive building rich in surprising architectural details. However the villa was not the first property built on the island, as the monks had built a monastery which unfortunately had fell into ruin, these ruins accompany the charm and fascination of the island to this day. Surrounding the villa are stunning terraces offering breathtaking 360 degree views of Lake Garda as well as the beautiful Italian gardens below the villa. All around the island the vegetation is lavish, rich in local and exotic plants as well as rare flowers. A tranquil wood can also be found on the island containing pines, cypresses, magnolias, acacias and lemon trees. This private island is a real jewel filled with magic and mystery.

For your dream wedding on the Private Island you and your guests will arrive by boat and then take a magical walk along a cobbled path through the gardens to the villa which will excite your senses with the sweet scent of exotic flowers, the beautiful birdsong and the lapping lake waters. The villa peeping over the tree line soon comes into full sight and there you will be met with Aperitifs on one of the beautiful gardens where the view is of the glistening lake waters. With the warmth of the afternoon sun kissing your skin this dream like atmosphere along with the breattaking location the Private Island is perfect for your luxurious wedding.

The wedding breakfast is served in the ‘loggia’, a stunning terrace surrounded by arches which overlooks the beautiful gardens below and the lake. The strong arches and columns are juxtaposed by frescoes, drawn in pastel colours they depict heaven and you can truly appreciate from the surroundings of this villa where the artist got their inspiration for these drawings. In the evening as the temperature cools, the flickering lanterns will create a beautiful atmosphere and will lead the way back to your boat. As the night waters soothingly lap against the side of the boat the dots of light in the distance come closer as you arrive at the mainland shore, where you will be greated by a porter to assists you in disembarking.

• Boats need to be organised to take you and your guests to and from The Private Island
• This location does not have accommodation options on The Private Island. However there are many 4 and 5 star hotels on the mainland close by with their own private jetties.
• This location has a private church where symbolic ceremonies, protestant ceremonies and blessings can be held.
• The garden is also a perfect location for symbolic ceremonies.
• This venue can be hired by small and large groups.
